Turkish-based Brave Gladiators striker Zenatha Coleman stated that she aspires for the team to qualify for the Women’s African Cup of Nations before she retires.

The 30-year-old Coleman was speaking after they drew 1-1 against Botswana Mares on Tuesday in Gaborone at the Royal Aria Stadium in Tlokweng.

This marks the third time the two sides draw in their six encounters. The Gladiators have won 1 match, lost 2, and drawn 3 matches.

During Tuesday’s match, Coleman rescued the team by tapping in a ball from Anna Shikusho in the 38th minute, resulting in a goal.

Coleman, who is a senior player and team’s captain, stated that the Mares are not an easy opponent to face.

“Previously, we have been winning against Botswana, but they have come up, they have grown immensely. I am in awe. It is good to see your neighbouring country doing well. Hopefully, we can also reach this level. I want to wish Botswana the best for the Women’s African Cup of Nations. Hopefully, after two years, we will see Namibia there,” stated Coleman.
