Farmers in the Zambezi region gathered last week for a silent auction of six heifers, 50 goats, and 30 rabbits at the Mafuta rural constituency, located four kilometres outside Katima Mulilo. The organiser says the auction was meant to inspire farmers to produce high-quality animals that fetch better market value for small stock farmers. A silent auction is where bidders submit their offers by filling in a form and indicating the item and bid amount.
