Livestock products are cut off from the local market due to policies restricting the movement of meat from the north beyond the veterinary cordon fence because it is not considered a disease free zone. Therefore, livestock farmers from the Northern Communal have submitted a petition to the National Assembly to address the urgent need for market access to livestock from the northern communal areas.
