The Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) president, McHenry Venaani, has called on the business community to fund opposition political parties. According to Venaani, opposition parties do not receive any financial support from local businesses, which would enable them to compete in election campaigns. The leader of the official opposition made these remarks during a handover of the party’s new 14 campaign vehicles for the upcoming 2024 presidential and national assembly elections.
