The Namibian Police are appealing to the public to identify two bodies of suspected poachers killed in Etosha on Monday. Police Inspector-General Joseph Shikongo said the two were killed during a shootout with law enforcement agents.

Shikongo said the bodies are in the Omuthiya police mortuary, and family members must visit the mortuary if they have relatives who left home and have not returned.

According to Shikongo, the men had no identity documents but were found with ammunition, firearms, and implements for cutting rhino horns.

Shikongo told journalists during an engagement where the police displayed confiscated items from suspects.
