The South African High Commission in Namibia, together with the Namibian public and private sectors, as well as various local organisations, celebrate its 30th anniversary of freedom and democracy this week, commemorating the 1994 democratic breakthrough, when South Africa experienced universal voting rights for the first time.
Typically observed on the 27th of April, the High Commission has organised for this year’s celebration to take place in Windhoek at a gala dinner and cultural extravaganza, hosted under the theme “Advancing growth, solidarity, partnership, ubuntu and Pan-African unity.”
