A stone thrown away from the University of Namibia’s main campus in Academia, lies Baboon City, where a community of 120 people has been weathering extreme hardships since 2016.
Originally arriving as construction workers for China Railway Seventh Group company or hopeful migrants, they now resort to selling and consuming food scavenged from dumping sites in order to sustain themselves.
