The Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security, Albert Kawana, has announced ongoing discussions between Namibia and the Angolan government to establish a 24-hour border operation at the Oshikango – Santa Clara border post.
Kawana made these remarks during the recent official launch of the visas on arrival at the Ministry’s head office in Windhoek.
The 24-hour border operation aims to strengthen economic ties and foster greater cooperation between Namibia and Angola.
“I am also pleased to inform the nation that Oshikango/Santa Clara border posts will soon operate on a 24-hour basis, since preparations with our Angolan colleagues are at an advanced stage. Let me take this opportunity upfront to invite all of you to witness the opening of Oshikango border post on 24 hours. We want to bring more tourists to Namibia to grow our economy,” stated Kawana.
