The Parliamentary Standing committee on Constitutional and Legal Affairs has shared the findings of oversight visits to capital projects countrywide.

They undertook the visits to determine the progress made on capital projects this year.

The committee shared the findings with the Ministry of Justice, the Office of the Judiciary, the Prosecutor General, Anti-Corruption Commission and the Ombudsman.

Committee member Tjekero Tweya raised concerns with the overall condition of staff accommodation, security, maintenance and renovations of the courts.

Tweya also said the prefabricated courts in the Oshana, Oshikoto and Otjozondjupa regions are in a deplorable state.
