The Ohlthaver and List (O&L) Group chairperson, Sven Thieme, says the previous retail sector business model did not work because all the profit went to South Africa. 

The O&L announced this week that they would terminate the Pick ‘n Pay franchise agreement on 30 June 2025. 

The group has been operating under the Pick n Pay franchise for 27 years.
