The former First Lady of the republic of Namibia, Penehupifo Pohamba joined NAMPHARM foundation as its patron to celebrate its 19th anniversary of providing life-changing surgery to Namibian children. The foundation has been treating children with cleft lip and palate, for nearly two decades. 

Cleft lip and palate repair surgery can cost up to N$100 000. Since 2005, the NAMPHARM foundation has provided this essential facial reconstructive surgery free of charge to children who would otherwise lack access to such expensive medical care.
