Namibia’s Kelp Blue Project has been awarded the Zayed Sustainability Prize in the category for New Climate Action at the ongoing 28th Conference of Parties (COP28) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday. The Kelp Blue project is recognised for enhancing ocean biodiversity by cultivating giant kelp forests that eliminate 100 thousand tons of carbon dioxide annually.
