Social activist Michael Amushelelo says that he established a new union to represent workers in the retail sectors because he believes the existing ones are sell-outs and ineffective.

Amushelelo, who submitted his formal application on 2 January this year, along with the union’s constitution and relevant documents to the ministry of labour, industrial relations and employment creation, says he will give them until the end of the month to respond.
