The deputy prime minister and minister of international relations and cooperation Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has encouraged the development of new academic methods and the integration of technology into the curriculum to address the inequality in access to Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education.

Nandi-Ndaitwah made the remarks at the official opening of the 32nd Southern African Association for research in mathematics, science and technology education (SAARMSTE) conference 2024, at the International University of Management (IUM).
