The decreasing levels of the Chobe River has caused grave concern, as competition for water resources is leading to an increase in cases of human-wildlife conflict.

The Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT), has informed the public that the ongoing situation is being monitored while the ministry seeks a long-term solution.
