A 59-year-old crop farmer based at the Utuseb settlement along the Kuiseb river bank in the Erongo region is struggling to produce crops in harsh weather conditions as she depends on water from dew as a primary water source for her garden. This is because of severe rainfall scarcity coupled with extremely hot conditions.

Utuseb settlement is located in the Namib Naukluft Park in the Namib Desert, which is known as the world’s oldest desert.
