The Minister of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform, Calle Schlettwein, has expressed concern about the declining funding for water and sanitation in Africa. Schlettwein stated this makes it difficult for the continent to meet the sixth Sustainable Development Goal, which aims to ensure sustainable water and sanitation for all by 2025. These were Schlettwein’s remarks at the opening of the 23rd African Water Facility Governing Council Meeting, which commenced in Swakopmund yesterday.
