Namibia and the Federal Republic of Germany are conducting a feasibility study on the desalination of seawater for green hydrogen production.

This comes after Germany’s Federal head of department in the Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) noted that water is limited in Namibia and will require a desalination plant to ensure the long-term sustainability of green hydrogen production.
