The Cancer Association of Namibia (CAN) last week inaugurated the country’s first state-of-the-art palliative care unit, valued at N$7.5 million, in the capital’s Klein Windhoek suburb.
Support to help establish the unit was provided by the University of Cape Town in South Africa, along with Groote Schuur Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospice, and Tygerberg Hospice, all located in the Western Cape.
