Cabinet has approved a newly revised land resettlement policy after the government and stakeholders observed a mismatch between the current policy and criteria for the allocation of acquired land, causing land to be allocated to wrong beneficiaries. This was announced by the Khomas regional governor, Laura McLeod Katjirua at the Review of the Resettlement Criteria which took place in Windhoek on Tuesday.
