The Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform (MAWLR) has upgraded Henties Bay’s five kilometer long water pipeline as well as a larger pipeline that connects the Kuiseb river to the Swakopmund reservoir.

According to the MAWLR Minister Calle Schlettwein, these projects are meant to improve water supply to the west coast areas of the country, as part of scheduled upgrade projects on the line ministry’s recently motivated budget, where over N$1 billion was allocated to the water sector.
