The Ministry of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform has announced that it will soon issue a government notice to prohibit exploration and mining that can contaminate the Stampriet Basin.

This comes after parliamentarians raised concern about the Russian-owned Headspring investments’ non-compliance with drilling permit conditions issued by the line ministry.
