In an effort to improve the lives of school learners from Havana informal settlement, the We Love Africa Foundation donated school bags, uniforms, and stationery worth N$ 30 000 to 150 disadvantaged children in the settlement. Josephine Nelenge, the foundation’s chairperson who also manages the Oohambo Smart Kids kindergarten, library and afternoon classes, states that they made the donation after witnessing the challenging conditions some of the learners are facing. Nelenge added that the donation is also intended to encourage learners who are academically performing well.
